Summer Live Albums

While sitting on the porch drinking a beer in the sun is pretty damn fantastic all on its own, I like to throw on some live music (or concert videos) inside, and let it waft out. At the moment, I’ve been probably overplaying the hell out of these five.

1. My Morning Jacket’s Okonokos
2. The Allman Brothers’ Fillmore Concerts
3. Phish’s 12/30/10 MSG Show
4. Band of Gypsys
5. Wilco’s Ashes of American Flags

The Wilco album/DVD is honestly one of the best live music recordings ever. I can listen to it on repeat all day. It’s really tough to say any one of these is better than another, it’s just such an amazing set of artists.
